Official Release Date For Asus 1215n

The Asus 1215n has been slated for a AUGUST 23, for the US RELEASE DATE

i'll try to keep you updated on the price too, although they continue to say that it is going to be under $500

• Dual Core 1.8 Ghz Intel Atom D525 (2 cores 4 processing threads [hyperthreading tech])

• Nvidia ION 2 w/ Optimus tech (512mb of vRAm) + Intel GMA 3150 (with optimus it automatically switches between the two or you can change it manually with a button on the top left of the keyboard)
  

note: he Ion2 is a platform that includes a atom processor with an Nvidia discrete video card from the GT218 chipset (Geforce 305M, 310M) and if its paired with a Pinetrail atom it performs like a Geforce 210M, but since this model comes with a 1.8Ghz dual core processor it performs better than say the Asus 1201pn which has an Atom N450 pine trail (single core 1.66ghz).
