Q. kingleo16
Where is the hard drive located and is it possible to upgrade it by myself?
Thanks in advance!
A. There are actually two hard drives which combine to give you 250GB of storage, but its pretty much in the center, and to get to it you have to take off the keyboard, and shell. You can change it by yourself, but it is a very long and precarious process that may lead to the breaking of your asus 1215n, so I wouldn’t suggest it. I would suggest using either an external HD or the free online 500GB storage that Asus gives you for free with it

(1) hi there!
great videos you got there.
tell me one thing: what about the 1215n keyboard?
i heard some complains about the flex in the middle of the keyboard.
is it really that bad?
thank you.
(2) One more question: what about the 1201n keyboard vs 1215n keyboard?
Does the 1201n has the same "problem"?
thank you.
A. (1) actually the keyboard flex is not really bad, i type allot (i use it allot for school reports) and it doesn't affect the way you type or anything, the way that i would describe it as the key board feels kinda cheap. i can't really feel the flex that much as much as hear it.
so to answer the question, no its not that bad, its noticeable at first but you get used to it.
(2) and yes from what I’ve been told they both use the exact same keyboard with the same “problem”.

Hey I had just a question about the 1215n. I was wondering if you knew when the version with USB 3.0 would become availabe in the US or maybe if you knew of a site that sold the european version with USB 3.0. thanks
A. Actually there is a model with the USB 3.0 in the US but it’s a little bit more expensive, its still the Asus 1215n but it’s the Lamborghini version, its called the Lamborghini Vx6 and I’ve been told it has USB 3.0, and it uses higher quality materials for its shell. It also has a higher quality keyboard, and it comes with 4GB of ram, however that does come with a $699 price tag.
Q. LordSuperCow
How heavy is the Asus 1215n compared to the Acer Aspire One?
A. They both are around the same weight, the acer aspire one that I had was 2.8lbs and the Asus 1215n is around 3lbs
Hi sirmousalot, I have a question...
There are many different models of the asus 1215n. Such models may include:
Asus 1215N - SIV046M
Asus 1215N-BLK054M
Asus 1215n - PU17
Does anyone know if there are? any major differences, hardware-wise, between the three?
Which model types will be able to include a USB 3.0 and a better bluetooth?
Or simply, which model types are the "BEST"
I may want my Ideal asus 1215n to be USB 3.0, bluetooth, 4gb RAM with win7 64-bit OS.
Thanks!
A. theres no real difference between those models, the first and the last are just the Black and Silver versions of the Asus 1215n that are sold in the US, while the middle one is the black one sold in the UK.
However if you do want to get one with USB 3.0 and bluetooth, it would be the Lamborghini version of it called the vx6. however none come with win7 64, you can upgrade it to that and it works just fine, but you have to install it yourself.
Q. both LordSuperCow and alexiswise
(can't find the word for word quote but here's the gist of it) how is the screen, how are the viewing angles, and what is the quality like.
A. The screen is good quality in my opinion, however its glare style so if you want to take this outside or use it in the car on the road, somethings can be difficult to see. The viewing angles are pretty good, it's around a 150 degree viewing angle until the colors start to change
Could you find out what clock speed the ION2 inside the 1215n specifically runs at by default? I believe 3Dmark is able to tell you how fast the GPU runs, as well as the NVIDIA control panel. (Help>System Information)
